Built-in 1782, the buildings are excellently preserved. Every structure was designed by a famous architect like Rattanakosin and each building is surrounded by lush gardens. The most notable thing about the structure is Wat Phra Si Rattanakosin, the reclining Buddha. Every year, thousands of tourists go down to the Bayon and Chinatown to see the glow worms. glow-worm caterrums are still considered a delicacy in Thailand.
